Cole Isaac Dufrene left his cape behind and gained his angel wings on May 27, 2018. Our little hero, with his fine hair, was born on July 8, 2008 to Cory Michael and Rachel Lee (Ent) Dufrene in Batesville. He fought every day of his life and changed all of our lives in ways we could never imagine. Cole was the toughest boy we ever met, but greeted us all with that infections smile.
Cole is survived by his hero, his life line, his best friend, Rachel Dufrene, who was blessed to be his mother, Jarod Dufrene, his big brother, the coolest dog he knew, grandparents Vicki Ent and Tim Christman (Mimi and Pappy), Norman Ent, Sandy Short Dufrene (Nana), Dwight Dufrene (papa), Aunts and Uncles: Holly Turner (Blaine) Sipple, Stefanie (Mike) Christie, Timmy Christman, Mindy Christman, Dwayne Short, Tracy Dufrene Burchfield, and Cousins/Best friends: Cameron, Jack, Caden, Jesse, Corbin, Caroline, Ryley, Braxton, and Bella.
Cole was preceded in death by his Daddy, his ultimate sidekick who was waiting with Jesus and open arms to welcome Cole home. He was also preceded in death by Shirley Myers (Mamaw) and Helen Short (Granny), his uncle Joe Turner “Turtle”, and Aunt Heather Ent.
Public visitation will be held on Thursday May 31, 2018 from 1:00-3:00 p.m. with funeral services being held at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor Ray Turner and Pastor Jerry Sheets officiating. All services will be held at Neal’s Funeral Home in Osgood. In memory of Cole, please feel free to wear your favorite super hero shirt to the services. Cole has left you all in charge of picking up his cape and bringing a smile to the world. Memorials may be made out to Especially Kidz in Shelbyville in care of the funeral home
A special thank you to the extraordinary people who cared for and grew to love Cole when family could not.
