DEARBORN COUNTY, IN — Indiana Department of Transportation contractor GeoStabilization International plans to close a section of State Road 262 and install temporary traffic signals next week on State Road 1 to complete two slide repair projects using soil nails and shotcrete in Dearborn County.
S.R. 262 Closure
On or after Tuesday, May 31, a section of S.R. 262 will close for approximately eight weeks to complete a slide repair project.
The repair area is located between Stevens Road and Hueseman Road, just east of the Ohio County line.
The official detour route for the closure will follow U.S. 50 and State Road 56.
S.R. 1 Temporary Signals
A section of State Road 1 will be reduced to one lane with temporary traffic signals on or after Tuesday, May 31, to allow crews to complete a slide repair north of Greendale.
The repair area is located between Salt Fork Road and Georgetown Road.
State Road 1 will be restricted for approximately four weeks.
INDOT reminds drivers to use extra caution, avoid distractions, and consider worker safety when traveling through active construction zones.
All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.
