Clifford H. “Butch” Mericle, 78, of Lawrenceburg, Indiana, formerly of Aurora, Indiana passed away Saturday, May 8, 2021 in Ft. Thomas, KY.
He was born May 27, 1942 in Harrison, OH, son of the late Floyd Mericle and Violet (Green) Mericle.
He worked as an Inspector for Cinergy, retiring after over 40 years of service. Butch enjoyed working on cars and was an avid Reds and Bengal’s Fan. He loved Nascar Races and often attended the Brickyard Races. He was a quiet man with a great senses of humor. Butch was a very generous man and would help anyone. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Butch is survived by his loving spouse of 57 years, Betty L. (Daugherty) Mericle; brother, Charles (Beverly) Mericle of OH; sister, Martha Jean (Norman) Douglas of FL.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd Mericle, and Violet (Green) Mericle, children, James H. Mericle, Jason D. Mericle, Jana R. Mericle.
Friends will be received Thursday, May 13, 2021, from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm at the Rullman Hunger Funeral Home, 219 Mechanic Street, Aurora, IN 47001.
Services will be held Friday, May 14, 2021, at 1:00 pm at the Funeral Home, with Pastor Wayne Daugherty officiating.
Interment will follow in the Rising Sun New Cemetery, Rising Sun, Indiana.
