WESTPORT, IN — There were no injuries reported following a fire last weekend in Westport.
The call went around Noon Sunday for a structure fire on the 13,000 block of South County Road 500 West, but it turned out a vehicle was on fire inside a barn.
The blaze was contained to a 1969 Chevy Nova that was being worked on inside the barn and was hooked up to a battery charger.
The cause of the fire, which was reported by the homeowner, is listed as electrical in nature.
The Letts and Marion Township fire departments and Decatur County EMS also responded.
