UPDATE: City, County Phone Issues

UPDATE: The phone lines have been repaired.

You may resume using normal contact numbers for county, city and public safety services throughout Greensburg and Decatur County, according to Emergency Management Director Mike Snyder.

(Greensburg/Decatur County, IN) – All City of Greensburg and Decatur County phones are having intermittent problems receiving and making outgoing calls due to a network issue with one of their providers.

All city and county offices have a back up 800 number to help conduct business- if you are in need of immediate assistance over the phone from any city office or agency, please call the number listed below:

  • General Decatur County, City of Greensburg, and shared/tenant offices: 844-221-1027.

If you have a non-emergency request or question for a public safety agency, please call the number listed below:

  • Communications/Police Department/Sheriff’s Department & Detention Center: 833-421-4911.

9-1-1 – which is for emergencies only – is not impacted and is fully functioning.
