Charles F. Kolb, of Brookville, was born on January 10, 1939 in Franklin County, a son to George and Mary (Baudendistel) Kolb. He married Sarah Stidham on October 15, 1964 at St. Michael Catholic Church. Charlie was a logger for over 50 years and a member of St. Michael Catholic Church. He loved racing, car shows, TV wrestling and football. On Monday, July 20, 2020 at the age of 81, he passed away at Margaret Mary Health in Batesville.
Those surviving who will cherish Charlie’s memory include his wife of almost 56 years, Sarah Kolb; children, James (Pam) Kolb of Liberty, Cindy Kolb and Thomas Kolb, both of Brookville; siblings, Ed (Virginia) Kolb of Brookville, Clara Jordan of Indianapolis, Liz (Alvin) Stenger of Brookville and Clarence Kolb of Brookville as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, John and Bill Kolb.
Friends may visit with the family on Monday, July 27, 2020 from 4 until 8 p.m. at Cook Rosenberger Funeral Home, 929 Main Street, Brookville. Fr. Vincent Lampert will officiate a Mass of Christian burial on Tuesday at St. Michael Catholic Church at 10 a.m. and burial will follow in the church cemetery.
