Chargers Junior High Baseball Defeats Rival South Decatur

Greensburg, IN – The North Decatur Chargers took on the rival, South Decatur Cougars on Monday, with North Decatur coming out on top.

This game was defined by complete domination by the Chargers from the first pitch. Although the Cougars opened the scoring in the first inning, ND wasn’t phased, they then scored 8 runs in the bottom half of the first to fully take control. Ross Gorrell drove in 2 runs in the inning.

The Chargers scored five runs on three hits in the bottom of the second inning. Sterling Rohls drew a walk, scoring one run, Landon Rohls singled, scoring one run, a steal of home scored one run, and Chase Litmer singled, scoring two runs.

Landon Rohls collected four hits in four at bats, as North Decatur soundly defeated South Decatur 23-5. The Chargers tallied 16 hits and they stole a jaw dropping 33 bases! Landon Rohls singled in the first inning, singled in the second inning, singled in the third inning, and singled in the fourth inning.
