Chargers Fall to Indian Creek

The North Decatur Chargers C-Team faced a tough challenge at home Thursday night, falling to the Indian Creek Braves 44-16.

The Braves came out strong, holding the Chargers scoreless in the first quarter while racking up 17 points. North Decatur turned the tide defensively in the second quarter, limiting Indian Creek to just 2 points. Offensively, the Chargers found some momentum with contributions from Henry Kinker, Kipton Ruf, and Simon Barber, heading into halftime down 19-8.

In the third quarter, Harper Gunn provided a spark with 5 points, including a layup and free throws, while the Braves extended their lead to 29-13. Caiden Ryan added a fourth-quarter three-pointer, but the Chargers couldn’t close the gap.

Simon Barber was a standout on the boards, grabbing a season-high 10 rebounds.

The Chargers return to action on Monday, December 16, when they host the Edinburgh Lancers.
