The North Decatur Chargers worked toward righting their ship this week after an uncharacteristic loss last week to the Eastern Hancock Royals. Tonight, the Chargers faced the Monroe Central Golden Bears and delivered a consistently effective game. The Chargers demonstrated some of their well-known explosiveness on multiple long touchdown passes from junior QB, Mason Morris, who was 15 of 18 for 309 yards of passing offense. The Charger ground game, led by Corbin Thackery and Kaden Muckerheide, contributed an additional 84 yards of offense. The Chargers, who only gave up one score, held the Bears to 148 yards of total offense, 78 of which came on one play to start the second half that would end up being the Bears’ only score. The Chargers next face the Shenandoah Raiders on the road.
