Carolyn Cummins of Brookville, Indiana, was born on October 6, 1955 in Oneida, Kentucky, the daughter of Donald and Lila Gay Barrett. On June 12, 1971 Carolyn married Ronnie Cummins at the First Baptist Church in Brookville. She was a tax preparer for H & R Block for 21 years in the Aurora office before retirement. Carolyn enjoyed fishing with her husband, and being with her family – especially her grandchildren. On Thursday, May 26, 2016 at the age of 60, she passed away at McCullough Hyde Memorial Hospital in Oxford.
Those surviving who will cherish Carolyn’s memory include her husband of over 44 years, Ronnie Cummins; daughter, Jennifer Carol Doerflein of Liberty; son, Ronnie Wayne Cummins of Connersville, and 5 grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Rose Norman, Ulene Quinlan, Glenna Jean Barrett, and brother, Nelson Barrett.
Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 from 11 a.m. till time of service at 1 p.m. at Cook Rosenberger Funeral Home, 929 Main Street, Brookville. Burial will follow in Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
