Carla Jean Dopher Shook, 50 of Greensburg, IN went to be with the Lord December 18, 2020 at Heritage House with her father by her side after a long battle with cancer. She was born March 28, 1970 in Terre Haute, IN. She was the daughter of Charles I. Shook and the late Sandra Shook. She is survived by her Father Charles I. Shook of Indianapolis, IN, Step-mother Carolyn Shook of Indianapolis. IN, Sister Shannon Shook of the State of Washington, Step-sister Stephanie Schoettmer of North Vernon, IN, Stepbrothers Matthew Schoettmer of Indianapolis, IN and Patrick Schoettmer of Seattle, Washington, Aunts Judy Imel and Mary Frances Runion of Columbus, IN, Uncle Robert Larry (Betty) Shook of Rushville, IN and many cousins.
Carla graduated from Greensburg High School. Carla worked at DSI for over 30 years. She could operate any equipment at DSI and was very helpful in helping others learn. She liked to make and help others with crafts. She enjoyed working jigsaw puzzles. She participated in many events in Special Olympics. Carla was a very special lady, she never met a stranger. She was always friendly and had a positive attitude.
Carla was a member of the Free Methodist Church and attended the Cornerstone Baptist Church.

A Visitation for family and friends will be on Tuesday, December 22, from 1:00 pm until the time of the Funeral Service at 2:00 pm at Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home. All visitors will have to wear a mask and observe social distancing, all public visitation guidelines are subject to change based on current Board of Health restrictions. Rev.
