(Versailles, IN) – It wasn’t long into the New Year before Versailles Fire Rescue was called out.
A car slammed into a home on the 800 block of Fern Drive around 12:40 am Monday.
There’s no word on the circumstances surrounding the crash or if anyone was injured.
Meanwhile, Versailles volunteer firefighters responded to 622 calls during 2023.
The volunteers also logged over 1,300 hours of training.
Chief Ben Sieverding is thanking the volunteer firefighters and their families for their dedication and service to the community.
“I would also like to thank all those who supported our department in anyway over the past year,” Sieverding said. “If you think you would like to serve your community as a volunteer firefighter, reach out to the department in your community. Without dedicated volunteers who would respond?”
