Monday’s match was a challenge right from the start. The weather turned cold and the course was rough from all the rain. To top it off, undefeated Batesville was up against three teams: Madison, St Louis, and Shelbyville. Against these odds, Batesville was able to secure second place with a score of 195 behind Madisonís 171 followed by Shelbyville 212 and St. Louis 226.
Our top scorers were Drew Wagner 45, Chase Cummings 48, Joe Cerniglia 51, Sam Bowman 51 and Austin Pohlman 53. Other team scores were Zach Wade 59, Dean Campbell 61, and Kyler Daulton 62.
Greensburg hosted a three-way match with Batesville and Connersville on Tuesday. For the first time this year, boys and girls competed separately. Greensburg boys and girls came in first with scores of 197 and 242 respectively. Batesville came in second with 200 for the boys and 265 for the girls followed by Connersville boys at 215 and girls at 269.
The Batesville boys team individual scores were Drew Wagner with a 44, Joe Cerniglia with a 50, Sam Bowman at 52, and Brett Wagner at 54.
The Batesville girls scores were led by Ashley Nobbeís 63, Sarah Ronnebaumís 65, Maddie Hanley with 68, and Courtney Chambers at 69.
