The Batesville Bulldog Cross Country team opened up their 2018 season with a new race added to their schedule…they traveled over two hours and competed in the Valley Kickoff Meet in Terre Haute at the LaVern Gibson NCAA Championship Course, which also happens to be the high school State Course. There were 18 teams competing in the girls race and 19 for the boys. This meet was not scored as a team, but only individuals were recognized. They gave awards to the top 20.
Batesville had 4 individuals place in the top 20 with Ean Loichinger crowned as the champion of the boys race. Ean dominated from the very beginning and held on to his lead down the home stretch, winning by 5 seconds and coming through in a time of 16:28. Congratulations Ean!!!
