It was a sunny night, which started out a bit windy, but by the middle of the meet, the weather was about perfect for a track meet as the Batesville Bulldogs hosted North Decatur, Jac-Cen-Del, and Hauser. Both the boys and the girls finished the night with substantial leads against their opponents. The boys won with an impressive score of 131.5 to Jac-Cen-Del’s-41.5, North Decatur had 33 just nudging out Hauser at 32. The girls finished with 100points to Jac-Cen-Del’s-64, just beating North Decatur who had 61 and Hauser ended with 12. The boys won 13 of the 16 events and all of the relays were victorious, as well as many personal bests for the night.And, of course, we had several personal bests for the night and they were, by event: 100m dash-Eli Pierson, Jy’lil Chappell, Willy Sherwood; 400m dash-Vonley Hund, Kasin Hughes; 800m run-Daren Smith, Nathan Villani, Will Nuhring, Ava Hanson; 1600m run-Kyler Daulton, Megan Allgeier; 110m/100m hurdles-Cole Rudolf, Ella Moster; 300m hurdles-Cole Rudolf, Ella Moster; Long Jump-Cole Rudolf, Josh Mobley; Discus-Chase Hamilton, Blake Hon, Will Thomas, Derek Vansickle, Sean Callahan, Kasin Hughes, Conor Powell, Alyssa Nobbe; Shot Put-Karson Macke, Will Thomas, Sean Callahan; 4 x 800m split-Avan Hanson; 4 x 400m split-Willy Sherwood, Tyler Bedel, Madelyn Pohlman, Lily Pinckley; 4 x 100m relay team of Vonley Hund, Gabe Gunter, Kurt Siefert, Eli Pierson.
Way to go everyone! The Dogs will get a day break and then the JV travel to EC for an Invitational on Thursday and the Varsity will go to compete on Friday. Good Luck!

The North Decatur Lady Chargers Track Team traveled to Batesville for a 4-way meet against Batesville, Jac-Cen-Del, and Hauser.
The field events started the meet off, Abigail Hartman took 1st place in the High Jump with 4′ 10”. In Long Jump, Anna Burkhart took 1st in Long Jump with 14′ 10.50” and Hope Barker took 3rd with a distance of 14’8”. North took 2nd and 3rd in Discus, Ella Kunz threw her PR at 78′ 7” and Skyla Wade had a distance of 76′ 6”. Wade placed 5th in the shot with a distance of 26′ 9”. In the 100M, Anna Burkhart took 1st with a time of 13.68, and Hope Barker took 3rd with a time of 13.74. Barker (28.46) and Burkhart (29.25) also took 1st and 4th in the 200M. Jenna Walton took 6th in the 800M with a time of 2:56.81. Walton( 6:23.34) took 4th and Gracie Osting (7:08.81) took 6th in the 1600M. Ellie Cox took 3rd in the 3200M with a time of 16:16.44. Ella Kunz placed 6th 6th in the 100m Hurdles. The 4x100M Relay(Nobbe, Hartman, Burkhart, and Barker) team took 2nd place with a time of 56.02. The 4×400 Relay(Osting, Hartman, Borgman, and Walton) took 4th with a time of 5:10.15. Cox, Osting, Gauck, and Walton took 3rd in the 4×800 relay with a time on 13:03.75.
