Charger Linksters Win Tri Meet Against Twisters And Shiners At Rising Star

The North Decatur Boys Varsity Golf Team placed first in a three-way match against Rising Sun and Oldenburg Academy on Tuesday, April 27th with The Chargers placing 1st with 175 followed by The Twisters with 205 and the host Shiners at 227.

The three teams met at The Links at Rising Star Casino Resort where they played the back nine. The evening was very windy, but the Chargers were able to take advantage of the great course conditions and score well.

Collin Bryant was the low man for the Chargers but was one stroke off of low medalist for the match (Drew Wagner, Oldenburg). Bryant had two double bogeys on the night but fought back with two birdies to end the night with a 2-over 39. He was followed by Carson Parmer who shot a 42 with 5 pars. Jack Koehne was third for the Chargers with a 46, and Cejay Parmer carded a season-low 48 to round out the top four.

The top four scores allowed the Chargers to win 175 to 201 (Oldenburg) to 227 (Rising Sun). Xavier Adams shot a 52, Austin Gould shot a 51, and Christopher Gauck shot a 56.

The OA Boys Golf team traveled to Rising Sun to battle against Rising Sun and North Decatur.

The Twisters placed 2nd and Drew Wagner shot the best round of a 38 (+1).

The Twisters will travel to Trinity Lutheran for their annual “Cougar Golf Invitational” beginning at 9:00 AM.
