(Brookville, IN) – An April trial date has been set for a Brookville woman accused of fatally gunning down her brother.
Twenty-nine-year-old Crystal Pence allegedly shot and killed 32-year-old Ronald Pence earlier this month at Riverfront Apartments on Fairfield Avenue.
Court documents indicate the brother and sister had been out drinking at several Brookville bars and that Ronald Pence was having suicidal thoughts.
Crystal Pence told investigators that when they returned to her apartment, Ronald loaded a gun, handed it to her, and told her to shoot him.
She then allegedly shot her brother in the chest, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
A jury trial is scheduled to begin on April 23 at 8:30 a.m. in Franklin Circuit Court.
Crystal Pence is being held on a $1 million bond in the Franklin County Security Center.
