Brookville, Ind. — A small business in Brookville has earned the Economic Development and Growth Through Entrepreneurship award(EDGE). Lt. Governor Suzanne Crouch and administrator of the U.S. Small Business Administration, Linda McMahon presented the award to Trim Free Borders on Wednesday.
Trim Free Borders manufactures artificial grass that is used along walls, landscapes, hardscapes, under fences and in cemeteries and does not require to be trimmed during the mowing season.
The EDGE awards are presented to developing small businesses that have been in operation for less than one year.
Twenty small businesses in Indiana received the award this year.
“The business advisers at ISBDC offices across the state are helping Hoosier entrepreneurs pursue their dreams to launch or grow their own small businesses,” said Elaine Bedel, president of the Indiana Economic Development Corporation. “Today, 1.2 million Hoosiers go to work for a small business, and many of those companies have received coaching from ISBDC advisers. As Indiana’s economy keeps growing, our strong network of small businesses will provide an important foundation to the state’s continued success.”
