The following are boys basketball recaps from December 17-18 reported to WRBI. There may be updates, so please check back.
Franklin County defeated Greensburg 63-37.
This was the first win by the Wildcats over the Pirates since January 15th, 2008 and ended a 23-game losing streak. FC shot a blistering 9 of 14 from three-point range and amassed 17 steals.
Chad Cox put in 22 points to lead the Cats. Brant Ertel had 17 points and four rebounds while Bridger Bolos tallied 10 points, eight steals and five assists.
For Greensburg, Bradley Lutz netted 13 points, Addison Barnes-Pettit posted nine points and 10 rebounds. Jeter Edwards had seven points and five boards. The Pirates did not have Colin Comer nor Brenden Stanley.
Switzerland County defeated Hauser 61-43.
For the Pacers, Cam Craig carded 21 points and eight rebounds for the Swiss, Jacob Williams netted 15 points and Bryce Turner totaled 12 points and seven boards.
3A-No. 3 Connersville remained undefeated as the Spartan boys bested South Dearborn 45-33.
Tobie Billups led the way for CHS with 16 points. Josh Williams scored nine and Gage Brown added eight. Brown had a team-high six rebounds while Billups led the club in both assists and steals with four each.
For the Knights, Brodie Teke scored nine and Ryan Willoughby followed with eight.
