(Pasadena, CA) – Batesville Middle School Band Director Ellen Fennell represented the community at the 137th Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena, California on New Year’s Day.
Through the Michael D. Sewell Foundation and Saluting America’s Band Directors, Fennell played the piccolo under the direction of Jon Waters, and marched alongside 350 musicians from all 50 states plus Canada, Mexico, and Panama.
She also connected with band directors from across the country, and brought back ideas to make the BMS band stronger.
