Boys Results
The Batesville boys team turned in another strong performance, earning dual meet victories over both opponents. Batesville defeated Oldenburg Academy 99–40 and edged Milan 87–71 in a competitive matchup that came down to depth and relay execution.
Individually, Sam Richardson led the way with a win in the 50-yard freestyle, while Ben Kuntz captured first place in the 100-yard freestyle. Matthew Lambert added a win in the 200-yard freestyle, continuing a strong stretch of performances as the season has progressed.
A key moment in the meet came in the 200-yard freestyle relay, where Batesville earned a victory that helped secure the win over Milan. As the season has developed, the Bulldogs’ sprint depth and relay consistency have become increasingly reliable point producers.
Girls Results
On the girls side, Batesville earned a decisive 103–28 victory over Oldenburg Academy and finished second to a deep Milan squad.
The Bulldogs were led by strong freestyle performances and a win in the 200-yard freestyle relay, continuing a trend of improved relay execution compared to earlier meets. Kate Fullenkamp turned in a solid distance swim in the 500-yard freestyle, while several swimmers contributed key scoring finishes throughout the lineup.
Season Progress
Across both teams, Batesville’s improvement has been evident in stronger relay performances, more consistent scoring across events, and increased competitiveness in close races. Early-season meets focused on development and lineup evaluation, while recent results reflect growing confidence and execution under race conditions.
“These results show the progress our swimmers have made since the beginning of the season,” said the Batesville coaching staff. “We’re seeing better racing habits, improved depth, and a team that’s learning how to compete in close meets.”
The Bulldogs will look to continue building on that momentum as they move deeper into the season and toward postseason competition.
