(Batesville, IN) – Batesville High School will host an informational session on Monday, December 16 from 7 to 8 p.m. in the Batesville Innovation Center, to help you understand how the state’s new diploma requirements may impact your student.
Organizers say the session will provide essential details about the new diploma requirements and how they relate to your student’s high school journey.
If you plan to attend the session, you’re asked to use Entrance IC3, which faces the Football/Track Complex,
Indiana’s current graduation requirements will sunset on October 1, 2028, making the new diploma requirements effective for all students beginning with the class of 2029, or students currently in eighth grade.
Schools may opt-in beginning with the 2025-2026 school year.
Indiana will also continue to offer the federally-required alternate diploma, which is designed for students with the most significant cognitive disabilities.
