BHS Boys Soccer Blanked by Columbus East, 5-0

Batesville boys soccer was shut out by Columbus East 5-nil on Saturday.

Bulldogs coach Kyle Hunteman called it a tough match.

Columbus East took the lead in the first half with a goal from a runner who capitalized on an uncleared ball in the box.

The Olympians quickly followed up with another goal  on a far post run, which put the Bulldogs on their heels.

In the second half, the Batesville defense faced relentless pressure, with Columbus East adding three more goals, two of which came from well-executed corner kicks.

“Despite the result, the Bulldogs showed moments of resilience and will look to regroup and learn from this challenging match,” Hunteman said.
