Three individual BHS athletes and five relay teams qualified for HSR.
To qualify, athletes and relay teams competed in specific indoor meets starting at the beginning of March. These times and distances were then reported, and the top 24 in each event qualified.
The Bulldogs had three events earn medals by placing in the top eight for the evening.
Congratulations goes to Ella King in the shot put, who placed eighth (36’7.75″); the 4 x 800m relay team of Bayleigh Demaree, Jayla Bedel, Paige Allgeier and Ava Wade, which placed fourth (9:55.21) and cut 15 seconds from their qualifying time; and the distance medley relay team of Jayla Bedel, Bayleigh Demaree, Caitlin Raver and Ava Wade, which placed 7th (13:10.28).
Also competing but just missing the podium by less than a second was the Bateville boys 4 x 400m relay team of James Rowland, Cash Myers, Noah Davis and Cannon Clark, which placed ninth.
The girls 4 x 400m relay of Bayleigh Demaree, Maggie Jelinek, Francesca Myers and Abby Miller was just 2.5 seconds shy of the podium and placed 11th.
Others qualifying and competing on Saturday were the girls 4 x 200m relay team of Maggie Jelinek, Avi Miller, Rosie Gilland and Abby Miller; Jenna Goldsmith in long jump, and Gavin Britch in the 60m hurdles.
The BHS girls team placed 11th overall.
