Beverly Ann (Hill) Douglass, 77

Beverly Ann (Hill) Douglass, 77, of Thorntown, Indiana, passed away peacefully on November 7, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on February 2, 1948, the daughter of the late Edgar Guy Kitchin and Virginia Elizabeth (Burk) Kitchin. Beverly grew up in Greensburg, Indiana, and graduated from Greensburg High School in 1966.
Beverly dedicated much of her professional life to serving her country as an Air Force Civilian, where she worked with integrity and devotion. Her commitment to supporting those in uniform was a source of great pride throughout her life.
She married John Douglass, and together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. They loved spending time with each other, and they took many trips to South Carolina. They spent 39 wonderful years together. Beverly was known for her strength, kindness, and the warmth she extended to everyone she met. She will be remembered for her deep love of family, her unwavering work ethic, and her generous spirit. She enjoyed quilting and her memory lives on in the beautiful quilts she created for loved ones. Beverly was fond of black powder shooting and collecting quilts, old memorabilia and antiques.
Beverly is survived by her husband; her sisters, Phyllis Neville, and Diana Shawler; as well as several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded by her parents; and her brothers, Richard “Dick” Kitchin, Larry Kitchin, and Donald Kitchin.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, November 12, 2025 at Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home from 11:00 am until the time of the funeral at 1:00 pm. Rev. Steve Coultas will be officiating. Burial will follow at South Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the Scotland Christian Church in Kirklin, Indiana.
