Betty Wuestefeld

Betty Wuestefeld Krey,  91 years old of Florence, KY, passed away peacefully Wednesday

morning, November 2, 2022. Growing up in Florence, Betty graduated from St. Henry Grade

School and High School. After high school she worked in downtown Cincinnati, often walking

from the KY side of the Ohio river, across the bridge to Cincinnati. Betty met Stan, her future

husband, at a dance in Cedar Grove and they got married when she was 19. After living in

Harrison for a short time, they moved into the Cottage behind her parents and then into the

house that Stan built in Erlanger, Ky.  In the fall of 1965 they moved their whole family of eight

children to Logan, Indiana.

She always had a big vegetable garden and canned much of what they grew. Betty was an avid

reader of romance novels and continued to listen to them when her eyesight started failing.

Betty enjoyed going shopping and picking up little gifts here and there for her family. She dearly

missed her shopping trips in her later years. Betty also enjoyed cooking and baking for her

family. Once the children started school Betty worked part time outside the home. Two of her

favorite jobs were  product testing and working at Weight Watcher’s.

Betty remained lifelong friends with many of her friends from elementary school. They got

together once a month to play cards and visit and formed a strong lifelong friendship. Family

was very important to Betty and she loved nothing more than family get togethers and holding

the new grand and great grandbabies.

Betty will be deeply missed by her children Linda (Bob) Eilers, of Florence, Ron (Pam Dore )

Wuestefeld of New York, Pat Bradshaw (Bob, deceased) of Burlington, Gary (Marilyn)

Wuestefeld of Logan, Regina (Harold) Larmann of New Alsace, Nancy Morrison of Florence,

brothers-in-law Bob Roland, Harry Scott, Monte Raper, and second husband Gus Foppe.
