Batesville’s 7th Grade Boys’ Basketball Defeats Cardinals

The Batesville 7th grade middle school boys’ basketball traveled to South Dearborn for the 2nd round of the SEI Tournament on Tuesday night and came home with a victory. The Bulldogs played cross-town rival St. Louis Cardinals and were on the winning end by a score of 40 – 16. The Bulldogs got off to a hot start early by hitting 4, and 3 in the second quarter. that would help push Batesville’s lead to 13 at the half. The Bulldog’s hot shooting would continue as they would hit 4 more threes in the second half. Leading the way for the Bulldogs were: Evan Ibold with 12, Hank Bohman with 10, Isiah Martin with 9, Jax Negovetich, Collin Vogelsang, and Becket Jones all with 2 points each. The Bulldogs are now 16 – 2 on the season and will face Greendale Middle School for the Championship. Come on out to Jac-Cen-Del High School on Thursday night as the battle for the hardware at 5:30 pm.
