Batesville’s 8th Grade Boys basketball team saw its postseason run come to an end on Tuesday night with a heartbreaking 24-19 loss to Jac-Cen-Del in the semifinals of the Southeastern Indiana Invitational Tournament. Despite a big-time defensive effort from the Bulldogs, the Eagles were able to do just enough late to seal a win. Eli Denni scored eight points for Batesville and Levi Hunt followed with six points. Camden Kaiser and Jackson Peetz scored three points and two points respectively. Batesville ends the year with a 13-5 overall record.
