The Batesville Lady Bulldogs traveled to Columbus to face the Columbus North Bulldogs in their last regular season game. Unfortunately, the Lady Bulldogs were defeated with a score of 4-0.
Columbus was able to score two goals on breakaways coming out with a 2-0 lead at half time. After Batesville pushed some numbers forward, Columbus was able to score on two more breakaways finishing with a final score of 4-0.
“Our girls played with a lot of effort and intensity tonight after a tough game against East Central last night. The entire defense for the Lady Bulldogs played well and dealt with Columbus North’s speed for most of the game.” Batesville Coach Kyle Laker.
The Lady Bulldogs finished their regular season with a record of 9-6-1. The post-season tournament for the Lady Bulldogs will begin on Wednesday as they face the winner of the Madison vs. South Dearborn game.
In the JV match, Batesville defeated Columbus North 2-1.
Nicole Redwine scored off of a cross from Audrey Weigel to put the bulldogs out in front 1-0. Columbus North came back with a goal shortly before half time evening the score up 1-1. In the second half Sylvia Phillips netted the game winner.
This concluded the JV season with a final record of 9-2-1.
