(Oldenburg, IN) – The opening of the Oldenburg Museum will be celebrated on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The aim of the historical museum located in the Hackman-Munchel General Store Building at the corner of Main and Pearl streets is to preserve and celebrate the Village of Spires’ rich German heritage.

The all-volunteer museum staff invites the community, families and friends of Oldenburg to contribute photographs, artifacts, documents and other items that tell the story of the town’s unique heritage.

Items can be either donated or loaned.

Starting next week, the museum will be open Thursday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

It will be closed on all major holidays.
