(Batesville, IN) – With the intention of promoting manufacturing, Batesville Tool & Die (BTD) welcomed instructor David Espinda and his Industrial Integration Academy(IIA) students from Decatur County to their facility on Tuesday, October 17.
Program Coordinator Toby Walsman explained to the students how important manufacturing is today more than ever (pictured).
He praised the students for taking action in their careers early while still in school, saying it opens avenues of mixing education with good work habits.
Over the course of nine weeks, students will have the opportunity to engage weekly with BTD professionals in the areas of Engineering/Design, Machining, Tooling/Weld Fab, Quality, Assembly, Stamping, Industrial Maintenance, and Automation, where they will get a true understanding of what it takes to elevate their future goals in Manufacturing.
“We are very excited to offer this opportunity and hopeful that we can raise these students’ knowledge and create a great energy for them to stay with Manufacturing as that’s what this country needs right now, more youths getting involved in Manufacturing,” Walsman said.
