Batesville Swim Team (BST) registration is open according to this release provided by head coach Greg McMullen.
BST is looking for swimmers for the upcoming 2022 summer season. This season will be focused on training their swimmers to be better in and out of the water while providing a fun, yet competitive environment.
McMullen is excited to get the swimmers back in the water.
“I’ve missed working with all of the kids from the summer team,” the Batesville head coach said. “While there are always a lot of them, it’s such a refreshing feeling to see all their smiling faces on deck, even on colder mornings.”
After a strong second place finish at the 2021 SEISA Championship, the team and coaches are ready to put in the work and see what they are capable of producing.
While the board and coaching staff may look a little different this season, McMullen will be leading the charge along with assistant coaches Sidney Howard and Gwen Martin (BHS and BST alums).
Swimmer Requirements
While BST accepts swimmers of all backgrounds and abilities, they have training groups setup to provide each swimmer the appropriate level of instruction. Swimmers should be able to swim at least 25 yards of freestyle and backstroke or have been involved in swim lessons at some level.
During the registration process, BST encourages parents to reach out to the Board Members or Coaching Staff with any questions they may have, particularly in regards to which training groups they should join.
We thank coach McMullen for the BST information.
