Reds drop ninth straight game and third straight series

Thursday, afternoon, the Reds lost their ninth consecutive game and were swept in a third straight series as the Brewers doubled up Cincinnati 10-5.

The Redslegs Hunter Greene got roughed up giving up five long balls and nine runs in just 2-2/3 innings.  Tyler Stephenson singled and homered with two RBI.  Colin Moran also batted in a pair of runs.

The series opened in Milwaukee Tuesday where the Reds lost 6-3 despite a single, double and home run by Tommy Pham and a homer and double by Mike Moustakas.  The tandem accounted for five of the Redlegs six hits and all three RBI.

Cincy players combined to strike out 16 times.  Twelve were K’d by Brandon Woodruff during the first six innings.

On Wednesday, Cincinnati got undressed 18-4 by the Brew Crew. Moustakas had two hits and one RBI for Cincy.  Matt Reynolds also doubled in a run.
