Batesville, In. — Batesville police officer Stephen Sieverding recently graduated with honors from the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy.
Sieverding ended with the second highest grade point average out of 130 academy students. The 15-week course features topics on criminal and traffic law, firearms, emergency vehicle operations, physical tactics, EMS awareness and human behavior.
He will complete his training with Batesville Police Department Field Training Officers Danny Hamilton, Travis Cook, and Ryan Metcalf. Upon completion of his FTO training, he will serve as a patrol officer.
