On Saturday February 8, the Batesville Middle School traveled to Jennings County Middle School for their Annual Panther Wrestling Invitational. Due to inclement weather, this was the Bulldogs season opener.
As the BMS grapplers ventured through their day, they walked away with twelve total wins, yet falling 0-3 in dual meets. A remarkable outlook on the day was that nine of the twelve victories came by pin.
Two astonishing pins came from Nathaniel Robinson and Eykis Fullenkamp racking them in, under a minute into the match. Recording wins for Batesville were Sam Koch, Nathaniel Robinson, JT Linkel, Dallas Lamping, Jackson Wooldridge, Hunter Hon, Chris Lainez, Eykis Fullenkamp, and Alex Plemmons.
Wrestlers ending their day 2-1 included Sam Koch, Nathaniel Robinson, and Chris Lainez.
The Bulldogs will be back in action Tuesday night at Batesville Middle School, as they host Madison Middle School.
