- An early lead helped Batesville defeat Rising Sun 8-5 on Saturday. In the top of the first inning, the Bulldogs got on the board first, as they scored on a single by Sam Voegele. Voegele led the Bulldogs on the day in hits going 2 for 3. In the bottom of the first inning, Rising Sun tied things up at one when an error scored one run for the Shiners.
- Batesville then took the lead in the second inning and did not look back following the solo home run by Lane Oesterling. Ultimately, the Bulldogs notched three more runs in the fourth inning, as Brayden Linkel, Trey Heidlage, and Quinn Werner all contributed in the big inning with RBIs. Halfway through the sixth inning, the Bulldogs were leading 8-2.
- In the bottom half of the sixth inning, Rising Sun scored three runs, but Batesville was able to hold on to the victory.
- Riley Zink got the win for the Bulldogs. He lasted three innings, allowing one hit and two runs while striking out four. Shane Meer, Trey Peters, and Caleb Raab all put in work in relief out of the bullpen, steering their team towards the victory. Meer struck out five in two innings, while Raab recorded the last three outs to earn the save for the Bulldogs.
- Landon Cole took the loss for Rising Sun. He lasted three innings, allowing two hits and four runs while striking out three.
