The Bulldogs sit at 14-5 on the season, 4-2 in the EIAC. They have won 3 games in a row after falling to South Dearborn in a close game on the road.
South Dearborn played well and the Bulldogs fell behind. They were down 7 late in the game and worked back, having a shot in the air to push the game into OT, but it didn’t hit the mark.
Saturday afternoon they went to Madison and were down 37-21 late in the 3rd. The Bulldogs persevered and fought their way back up. Huge plays on both ends of the floor created a 4-point win for the Bulldogs.
Rushville came to Batesville on Thursday. The Lions were down 8 at one point but fought and narrowed the Bulldogs lead down to 1. In the end, the Bulldogs built back up their lead and won by 8.
The Bulldogs played East Central on Saturday. The Trojans went 13/21 threes in the game taking a lead of 11 with 6:30 left in the game. Huge play after huge play and the Bulldogs managed to take it to OT. Big free throws hit in regulation and OT proved to be the difference. Bulldogs won, 64-62.
They play on the road tonight at Franklin County making up a game lost to weather in January. Senior Night is on Friday. Jack, Sam, and Gus will be recognized as leaders, players, and ambassadors of the program. Landon is the manager of the Bulldogs and he too will be recognized. The Sectional Draw for the Bulldogs is on Sunday evening.
