During its October meeting this morning, the IHSAA Executive Committee unanimously approved the plans for this year’s boys and girls basketball state tournaments including the host sites at each level.
The Girls tournament begins with sectional games Feb. 4-8, regionals on Feb. 15, semi-states on Feb. 22 and the state finals on Feb. 29. Sectionals for the Boys tournament run March 3-7, regionals on March 14, semi-states on March 21 and the state finals on March 28.
The area Girls Sectional hosts are. Class 4A-Sectional 14 at Bloomington South. Class 3A-Sectional 29 at South Dearborn. Class 2A-Sectional 45 at Switzerland County. Class 1A-Sectional 60 at Waldron. The Regionals will be at Columbus North, Charlestown, Paoli, and Southwestern Shelby respectively. The Semi-States will be at Jeffersonville or Jasper. The State Finals will be at Bankers Life Fieldhouse-Indianapolis.
The area Boys Sectional hosts are. Class 4A-Sectional 14 at Columbus North. Class 3A-Sectional 29 at Connersville. Class 2A-Sectional 44 at North Decatur. Class 1A-Sectional 60 at Southeastern Shelby. The Regionals will be at Seymour, Washington, Greenfield-Central, and Martinsville respectively. The Semi-States will be at Seymour or Washington. The State Finals will be at Bankers Life Fieldhouse-Indianapolis.
