Bartholomew County Sheriff endorses Meyerrose in Decatur County

Greensburg, In. —

Decatur County Residents:

I want to take this opportunity to proudly endorse Bill Meyerrose for Decatur County Sheriff.  I have been friends with Bill for several years and I make this recommendation based on my personal and professional relationship with him.

As police officers in our respective communities, Bill and I worked narcotics together so, of course, we have discussed his goals and objectives in the area of drug eradication, particularly targeting people who provide illegal drugs to Decatur County residents.

Bill understands the importance of pooling resources and sharing information to elevate public safety in Bartholomew and Decatur counties.

We discussed REC – Residents Encountering Christ.  REC is a program held over the weekend, the focus is to share the love and grace of Christ and to make Jesus known to men and women who are incarcerated.  Bill will bring the REC program to the Decatur County Jail.

Bill is a Christian, a man of good character, a good family man and an outstanding law enforcement officer.  He has a solid background in public service.

Bill was instrumental in obtaining Decatur County’s first SRO (School Resource Officer) and his goal is to create an Investigative Unit and a Drug Task Force at DCSO.

Bill demonstrates strong character and ethics in every aspect of his life and I consider it a privilege to recommend him to the office of Decatur County Sheriff.

Bill has an excellent plan in place and goals that will take your Decatur County Sheriff’s Office to the “Next Level”.  He is qualified and he has the strength to make decisions necessary to ensure a professional level of protection and service to Decatur County residents and businesses.

I look forward to working with Bill.  He has my full endorsement.

Sincerely,

Matthew A. Myers
