Barbara E. Walter, of Sunman, was born on May 15, 1942 in Cincinnati, a daughter to Emmett and Ruth Kelley Jones. She married Paul Walter and he preceded her in death 1999. Barb’s love in life was taking care of the home; raising her six children and cooking. She attended Sunman Bible Church and enjoyed going to church, doing crafts, shopping, traveling, playing bingo and spending time with her family. Barb met everyone with a smile on her face and a kind word, even when she was struggling with her cancer. On Thursday, January 9, 2020 at the age of 77, Barb passed away at her residence with her loving family by her side.
Those surviving who will cherish Barb’s memory include her two daughters, Lorene (Dennis) Reed of Milan and Julene (Tony) Schneider of Osgood; two sons, Joe (Darlene) Walter of Osgood, and Richard Walter, of Sunman; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three sisters, Jean Dweyer, Sandra (Angel) Dorame, and Mary Corral, as well as many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two children, Paul and Karen.
Friends may visit with the family on Sunday, January 12, 2020 from 2 until 6 p.m. at Cook Rosenberger Funeral Home, 107 Vine Street, Sunman. Services will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 10 a.m. and burial will follow in St. Paul Cemetery.
