Cincinnati, Oh. — MainSource Banks have been rebranded as First Financial Bank or German American Bank across central Indiana.
The “new” First Financial Bank will have assets of $14 billion.
Over the weekend 150 former MainSource locations received the First Financial Bank makeover, previously five other locations were rebranded to German American Bank.
The German American Bank deal was reached in February of 2018 in order to resolve U.S. Department of Justice competition concerns raised because of the MainSource/First Financial merger. The branch locations are in Columbus and Greensburg.
Customers that originated a banking relationship at those five physical locations became German American Bank customers as part of the deal.
