(Ohio/Switzerland Counties, IN) – Two people have been arrested and charged in connection with a major mail theft and financial fraud investigation in Ohio and Switzerland counties.

Cheyanne Seina Bradley and Evan James Joel Hensley are charged with Theft, Conspiracy to Commit Forgery, Corrupt Business lnfluence, and Official Misconduct.

Dearborn/Ohio County Prosecutor Lynn Deddens alleges Bradley stole mail throughout Ohio and Switzerland counties while working as a letter carrier.

Investigators say numerous pieces of undelivered mail were taken from postal routes and brought to a private residence, where checks, credit cards, and other financial documents were opened and used for personal gain.

The Ohio County Sheriff’s Office recovered large quantities of stolen mail and financial documents belonging to numerous victims.

Deddens says Bradley allegedly removed undelivered mail from her routes, while Hensley is accused of opening that mail.

lnvestigators confirmed that victims experienced missing or delayed mail, including checks and other critical financial documents.

“This case involves a profound breach of public trust,” Deddens said. “People depend on the mail for their financial security and peace of mind. When that trust is violated, it impacts an entire community.”

Bradley and Hensley have made their initial court appearances, and are set to appear for their pretrial hearings on February 20.
