Sellersburg, IN — The small child whose body was found in a Las Vegas-themed suitcase by mushroom hunters in Washington County back in April has been identified as 5-year-old Cairo Jordan of Atlanta, Georgia.

Indiana State Police say his mother, 37-year-old Dejuane Anderson of Atlanta (pictured), is wanted for murder but remains at large. She was last seen in Los Angeles, California.

40-year-old Dawn Coleman of Shreveport, Lousiana was arrested last Wednesday in San Franciso, California on charges of Neglect of a Dependent Resulting in Death (Level 1 felony) and Obstruction of Justice (Level 6 felony) in connection with young Cairo’s death and awaiting extradition to Indiana.

Following an autopsy, the cause of Cairo’s death was listed as “electrolyte imbalance,” likely caused by “viral gastroenteritis.”

Cairo Jordan’s sixth birthday would have been this past Monday.
