Batesville, IN—Last week The Batesville Area Arts Council launched the “Armchair Artist” series. The group’s goal was to bring amazing area artists into the comfort of your home, but the community has exceeded expectations; over 3,000 people from around the country tuned in to listen to Morgan Kramer and Derek Foster perform last week. Paul Satchwell, who serves on the Council said, “where in Batesville would they be able to perform in front of 3,000 people?” He continued, “this is a really great opportunity not only for the audience but also for the artists to play to crowds they might not normally.”
This week BAAC is happy to provide two more Livestream concerts. Matthew Lamping will perform tonight at 7 PM, followed by Jessie Strassell on Saturday, May 9 at 9 PM. The shows will wrap up next week with Tim Mattingly Thursday, May 14 at 7 PM to close the concert series. Click here for a link to the BAAC Facebook page.
