(Southeastern IN) – All four area counties saw drops in unemployment in September.
The Indiana Department of Workforce Development says Decatur County had the lowest jobless rate in the area at 2.6 percent, which was down from 2.9 percent in August.
Franklin County dropped from 3.3 to 3.0 percent in September.
Dearborn County checked in at 3.2 percent, down from 3.6 the month prior.
Ripley County was at 3.4 percent, down from 3.7 percent in August.
All four counties were below the state average of 3.6 percent.
