(Batesville, IN) – The Kiwanis Club of Batesville is excited to announce the return of Applefest 2025, taking place this weekend:
Saturday, September 27: 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Sunday, September 28: 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
This year’s festival offers something for everyone, including family-friendly activities, delicious food, live music, and unique arts and crafts.
Festival Highlights
Apple Pageant: Sunday at 1 p.m. – Cheer on local contestants competing for the titles of Apple Bud, Apple Blossom, Apple King, and Apple Queen.
Music & Entertainment: Enjoy the new Wood Turning demonstration on Saturday from 11 am to 3 pm on the pavilion stage, along with live performances from local bands and solo acts throughout the weekend.
Food & Treats: Indulge in apple-themed treats, savory festival foods, and seasonal favorites.
Arts & Crafts and Business Expo: Explore handmade crafts, local business offerings, and seasonal merchandise both days.
Kids’ Activities: Bounce house, trackless train rides, face painting, games, and more.
Inaugural Applefest 5K sponsored by Southeastern Indiana YMCA
Date & Time: Saturday, September 27 – 8 a.m. (Same-day registration begins at 7:15 a.m.)
How to Enter: Register online at SIYMCA.org or on-site on race day.
Special Bonus: Enjoy a one-of-a-kind Vintage Base Ball Game at Liberty Park, Saturday at 1 p.m. Players will wear 19th-century uniforms and follow original rules, offering a glimpse into the early days of America’s pastime. Admission is free, and spectators are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets.
