Another Air Quality Alert issued for today

(Southeastern IN) – The Indiana Department of Environmental Management has issued another Air Quality Alert for today for the entire state, as a result of the lingering haze and smoke from the Canadian wildfires.

Particulates and ozone levels are expected to be in the “Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups” range again.

Children, the elderly, and those with respiratory issues should limit prolonged outdoor exposure.

Meanwhile, Southeastern Indiana and most of the state continue to be “abnormally dry.”

That’s according to the US Drought Monitor map released yesterday (pictured).
