Alicia F. Higgs, of Brookville, was born on June 22, 1929 in Brookville, the daughter of Edward and Norma Bernhart Bath. She married William E. Higgs on December 1, 1951 at St. Michael Catholic Church and together they raised 3 children. Alicia was a member of St. Michael Church and the Brookville American Legion Auxiliary. She liked to read and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. On Saturday, April 28, 2018 at the age of 88, she passed away at St. Andrew’s Health Campus in Batesville, Indiana.
Those surviving who will cherish Alicia’s memory include her daughters; Barbara (Rick) Ellis of Brookville, and Bonnie (Tom) Foltz of Erlanger, KY; one son, Bill (Barbara) Higgs of Brookville; 7 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren, and two sisters, Ethel Westerfield of Cincinnati, and Judy Meyer of Lady Lake, FL. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband on December 3, 1982; a granddaughter, Jill Ellis, and a brother, Tom Bath.
Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, May 3, 2018 from 9 until 10:30 a.m. at Cook Rosenberger Funeral Home, 929 Main Street, Brookville. Father Sean Danda will officiate a Mass of Christian burial at 11:00 a.m. at St. Michael Catholic Church and burial will follow in the church cemetery.
