FRANKLIN COUNTY, IN — A man facing child molesting charges in Franklin County remains at large after failing to appear in court, and his trial has been put on hold.
Jesse Meckley was arrested last September and charged with three counts of Child Molesting, four counts of Sexual Misconduct with a Minor, Rape, and Sexual Battery.
He bonded out of the Franklin County Security Center in November but failed to appear in court last week, which resulted in a bench warrant being issued for his arrest.
His jury trial was supposed to start this week but it’s been canceled and will now be a pre-trial conference starting Monday, August 23.
Meckley is known to frequent Union City, Richmond, and his hometown of Cambridge, Ohio.
He’s also wanted in Wayne County on a drug-related warrant.
Anyone with information on Jesse Meckley’s whereabouts is urged to contact their local law enforcement agency immediately.
