It was one heck of a ride for Franklin County’s Jack Stirn. But, unfortunately, the train came to a stop at the Boys State Tennis Final Four.
The senior Wildcat carried an undefeated 24-0 record into Saturday’s state semifinal in Carmel. In his match against Aiden William of West Lafayette, Stirn suffered his one and only loss of the season, 6-1, 6-1.
William went on to defeat Indy North Central’s Alex Antonopoulos 6-2, 6-4 for the state championship.
We thank the IHSAA and Franklin County AD Denny Dorrel for the information and photo.
